NewsLetter How-To Guides

These guides start from an installation configured according to the documentation. Each case defines a result that you can check.

Publish a weekly blog summary

  1. Create an internal list and select a category with test posts.
  2. Set up a weekly channel with a template that displays titles, excerpts, and links.
  3. Choose a day and time in the site’s time zone.
  4. Preview a period with content and another without publications; check the behavior before activating.
  5. Send to the internal list and compare links, subject and unsubscribe. Only then does it change to the production list.

Expected result

The channel uses only the chosen sources and test recipients receive a newsletter with correct links and unsubscription mechanism.

Validate a subscription form

  1. Submit a Fluent Forms form with a test address and intended consent choice.
  2. Check the mapping on Newsletter and the mapped list.
  3. Complete confirmation if enabled and check the final status of the contact.
  4. Request unsubscription from a test email and verify that you are excluded from future shipments.

If the mapping fails, retry the integration reference.

Diagnose a lagging channel

  1. Checks date, time and time zone of the site; do not change the time to force a send.
  2. View server cron diagnostics and events.
  3. Checks if the delay policy is on discard or recover, and if the operation is within its window.
  4. Contrast the channel logs with the provider’s email. Don’t delete active reservations or force parallel retries.
  5. If it persists, gather the data from the Support Desk and attaches purged logs.
